An Explorer's Footsteps NPC: Abelard (Selbina, G-9)

Speak with Selbina's Mayor, Abelard, and he will request that you locate stone monuments all over Vana'diel that have been left by an explorer, and record their writings to clay tablets. There are 17 in total, and Abelard will reward you with a map of Crawlers' Nest for finding at
least 15, as well as some gil for each one. After receiving a piece of clay from him, you must find a monument, trade the clay for an imprint, and return it to Abelard. Then obtain a new piece of clay and pursue the next monument. The locations are as follows...

Vuntar will pay you for bringing him special aged rolanberries, and the older they are, the more he will reward you. Buy rolanberries in the Duty-Free Shop in Port Jueno or at M & P's Market in Upper Jueno and take them to Crawlers' Nest. There are baskets located throughout
the Nest, the first being at J-9. Trade a rolanberry to the basket for a chance to spawn a notorious monster crawler and kill it for a special aged rolanberry. Vuntar will pay 800 gil for Rolanberry 881 and 2,000 gil for Rolanberry 874. |

Romeo is crazy about recycling and will reward you with a wastebasket if you can bring him 5 onion weapons of the same type (such as 5 onion swords, or 5 onion daggers, etc). These are given to new players upon starting the game, so best to purchase them from the auction
house to obtain 5 of a kind. |

Elder Memories NPC: Isacio (Selbina, G-10)

Isacio wants you to prove your adventurer skills to him. He asks that you bring him 3 items, all of which drop from monsters in Valkurm Dunes. They are: crab apron (dropped by Snippers), damselfly worm, (dropped by Damselflies), and magicked skull (dropped by Ghouls).
Ghouls spawn during the night hours, so if your luck with them is bad you may wish to travel to Konschtat Highlands and enter Gusgen Mines at L-7 where you'll find Ghouls in abundance at all hours. |

Test My Mettle NPC: Devean (Selbina, I-9)
Reward: various amounts of gil or Power Sandals

Speak with Devean and he'll ask if you want to attempt to find some treasure he hid in Davoi. Upon accepting you will have to make a bet on how quickly you can find the treasure and make it back to him.
You can choose 24, 36, 48, 60, or 72 game hours, and bet 100, 150, 500, or 1,000 gil. The quicker you make it back to him, the more money you'll make back. You can also choose to just keep the treasure (power sandals) after finding it. |

The Gift NPC: Oswald (Selbina, I-9)

You must complete 'Under the Sea' and accept 'The Sand Charm' to receive this quest. Oswald will ask you to get a danceshroom dropped by Shriekers in Ordelle's Caves, which can be entered from the ravine at F-7 in La Theine Plateau.
Danceshrooms may also be purchased from the auction house. |

You must complete 'The Sand Charm' to receive this quest. Oswald wants to make a pearl necklace for his girlfriend and needs a shall shell to do so. This is dropped by many Pugils, including those found in the Valkurm Dunes area. |

The Rescue NPC: Thunder Hawk (Selbina, G-9)
Reward: Map of Ranguemont Pass, 3,000 gil
Title Earned: Honorary Citizen of Selbina
Thunder Hawk requests your assistance in rescuing two merchants who were captured by the Quadav and are enslaved in a jail in Beadeaux. After arriving in Beadeaux, locate De'Vyu Headhunter at I-9 and defeat him to get a Quadav Charm.
Bring the charm to the jail at I-8 where you will find the prisoners, then return to Thunder Hawk for your reward. |
