12.22.07 - Something's in the CU oven - Discuss
I've had a project going for the past few weeks that's been sucking up 12+ hours of my daily routine. If any updates here have been lacking, that project takes the blame for it, but I thought it would be nice to have it up by Christmas. It's nearing completion now, so expect to see that goal met.
On an unrelated note, apparently CU attracts females, at least according to the current home page poll. After seeing the same poll on GameFAQs score only 6% votes for female, I was expecting about the same here. Nope! We're looking at 44% for CU at the time of this posting. I guess art is something equally enjoyed by both genders, while cursing people out and calling them n00bs over an online message board is more of a male thing?

12.20.07 - JP software sales / Dec 10 - 16 - Discuss
It's looking like a Nintendo Christmas in Japan, with 9 of the top 10 games this week hailing from Nintendo platforms. Mario Party DS tops that list with 180,042 units sold, followed by Wii Fit with 124,238 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue with 115,748. Not a bad showing for GT5, considering it's only a demo, and a rather pricey one. Hardware sales for the week show impressive numbers too, namely for DS, PSP, and Wii. We have a new art gallery for the GameCube RPG Baten Kaitos, with 21 images awaiting your viewing. Most of the content is original illustrations by artist Nakaba Higurashi, best known for his comic work in Japan. Baten Kaitos was his first foray into game design, and his character's facial features and color choices are quite different from the norm.

A solid sales week in Japan as Christmas rolls closer. While Wii Fit failed to debut as #1 at launch, it claimed the top spot this week with 149,587 units sold. Mario Party DS climbed to second with 106,995 units, and Tales of Innocence for DS ranked third with 104,317. In hardware, the DS Lite has distanced itself even more from the competition, with 168,255 units for the week.
