Folklore contest: see your art in the game
hat Folklore has some imaginative creatures. Now you have a chance to call one of them your own! Or at least, you do if you live in a European territory. SCEE is promoting a "Create a Folk" contest through the PlayStation website that asks qualified participants to design a crazy new creature from their imagination for a chance to see it make its home in the Netherworld of Folklore.

Contest rules are simple—you draw a new Folk character, then give your creation a name and a fitting description. Lastly, you must assign it a unique attack power, as the characters from the game will be able to absorb said power to aid them in their quest.

Contest entries will be reviewed by members from the Game Republic development team, including creator Yoshiki Okamoto (of Resident Evil, Devil May Cry and Onimusha fame). One design will be selected as the winner and will be turned into a Folk for the game, being made available for download via the PlayStation Store for fighting and capturing in-game. The winner will also receive a copy of Folklore for free, along with four runners-up.

The contest entry due date is October 22nd, and participants must be age 12 or over. For submission details, as well as a list of qualifying countries, see the contest page.
