Ten minutes of Resident Evil 1.5 in-game video
October 26, 2007
hose of you experienced in Resident Evil history are probably aware of the early build of the second game that is now dubbed Resident Evil 1.5. Originally starring Leon Kennedy and Elza Walker, the game was scrapped at 80% in favor of a redesign to meet the developer's high standards, leaving rare footage of its gameplay all but easy to find. Until now.
PlayStation history website PlayStation Museum secured a final build of the unfinished game that would eventually become Resident Evil 2. They've captured 10 exclusive minutes of Resident Evil 1.5 footage, including gameplay from Elza and Leon, zombies that crawl under openings to pursue your flesh, and a number of interesting boss battles that never made their way into RE2. Best of all, the video is now up on YouTube, so you too can get a glimpse of Capcom's lost work.
