arlier this year, Capcom announced the surprising platform switch from PS3 to Wii for Monster Hunter 3, much to the disappointment of a number of dedicated fans. Now, a discussion with Capcom’s publicity department in the latest issue of Famitsu has brought some small hope of pleasing owners of both consoles, even if it is only small talk.
Famitsu brought up the point that some people had likely purchased a PS3 when Monster Hunter 3 was first announced last year. The Capcom reps offered a big apology, adding that PS3 owners should wait for further announcements in the series. When asked if there was a possibility that the Monster Hunter series would still appear on PS3, Capcom's publicity department said they could not deny the possibility, as the company has a multiplatform strategy.
Also asked was whether the numbered versions of the Monster Hunter series would ever be published on the PSP. Capcom's answer was a litte more blunt, stating "PSP portable series has an important position within the company".
