An early look at SSF2HD design, artwork leaked
ops! A collection of work-in-progress art for Capcom's upcoming Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for PS3 and 360 found its way online. Capcom has now commented on the leaked art via it's official blog. Rather than trying to sweep in under the rug, they've taken the opportunity to detail the design process. They even include the full art leak in a zip file!

The blog is worth a read for the educational details alone. It discusses things such as transforming an original sprite into a fluid animation fitting for an enhanced remake, tiling images for accurate hit detection, and correcting issues of "popping" in the animation.

At the end of the response to the artwork leak, a zip containing all of said art is included for download. It's a huge collection, containing 251 files in Photoshop format, so you can open them up and go through the character frames and layers exploring the design. As the game is far from ready, the blog does stress that these works are heavily unfinished, mostly still consisting of flat colors while they go through further editing.

You can download the art collection from Capcom here (54MB):

Full details about the art design process are at Capcom's Official Blog.
