NPD US video game console sales for October

ales figures for the month of October just rolled in from NPD Group, and there's a lot of green numbers. Software sales climbed 39 percent over last year's, and hardware sales soared 127 percent. While Halo 3 still holds the top spot for a single-platform game, combined sales of Guitar Hero III far outshine it, rocking right past the coveted 1 million mark in less than one week in stores.
