European Folklore contest winner announced
arlier this year we mentioned the SCEE "Create a Folk" contest for European residents, the same offering US residents saw not long before. Participants were asked to draw a Folk character, name it, and describe its unique attack power, all in the hopes of seeing their design materialized in Folklore. The winner has been revealed now, and his design will soon be downloadable through the PSN for players to encounter in-game.

Jeff Read from United Kingdom scored the winning design out of over 200 entries, along with a free copy of the game and a goody bag. The description for his creation, the Malion, reads:

"The Malion (Spore Lion) runs circles around the enemy whilst creating an intoxicating spore cloud from its tail and thorny mane. When the prey is dazed The Malion jumps in for the kill. The tail and claws are primary attacks, but this Folk is highly poisonous... wear protective gloves! The Malion fears fire."

Four runners up will also receive a copy of the game. Screenshots of their creations are on display at the UK PlayStation website.
